Baby Update.....

Rounding the corner to third trimester....SHEW!

 

According to one of the many doctors I have to see, Raegan is growing quite well.....

She is now 2 pounds, 3 ounces and very rambunctious!  Her hand still goes over her face as soon as the spotlight hits her, but where else does she have to put it?!  She is very comfortable in her humble abode!  Her heartrate is still ranging around 155, which is perfect.  Still have no additional signs of ascites, so all is well in her department.

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

 

Mommy (as in me) is still adjusting to pricking four times a day and actually starting my meds for insulin resistance now.  Honestly, I am so looking forward to this being over.  I love feeling her move and carrying her, but this go around has stirred up way too many issues for me to take (mentally, at least).  I am happy she is well and content!  Now, if only I can make it through the next 12 weeks.  I think I can.....I think I can....I think I can........
