Mr. Trickster
Have I ever told you how much I despise sewer grates or piers or manholes?
Just the idea of falling in petrifies me!
Guess who has learned of that fear and loves to pick on his Mommy?
OH MAN......
Ayden has always thought he could find the Ninja Turtles if he looks deep enough into one of these. I honestly think he would love to fall in, just so he can find their lair. But, I think he would be pretty stinky if he ever was able to get out again. So, maybe....just maybe I should push him in and endure the suffering once. I just know he wouldn't do it again if he got down there one time. YUCK!
We probably could make a reality show called Sewer Diving (I mean they have one for everything else). HA!!

Hunter's Helping Kids Banquet 2012
The boys LOVE this event. I mean it is a room full of guns, hunting gear, games and did I mention guns. Lots of raffles...Ayden even won something off the kids table in his raffle category. He was so excited.....movie, paddleball, beanie horse, pastel paint kit, silly bands, and candy. What more could a boy want?! Well, other than a gun.....
Honestly, they work really hard to put on this event and it was a success!!
Congrats to the Gobbles and Grunts chapter! They had a fabulous turnout for a fabulous cause.

Random....
Can I just say that I am sick of being sick? I am also sick of going to the doctor. I am also sick of the attitude at my doctor's office. Sometimes, just sometimes... patients are educated. I understand they also work with people who are not, BUT enough is enough. I am not a number....I have a name! I don't have to follow their protocol...sometimes these places need to think outside of the box. Everything is not BY THE BOOK! Tears abated; I am going to do things my way. If I don't need a test then why pay for it. I accept my label as gestationally diabetic (after failing the first test), because I am a big girl and I have been there done that already. I can follow my diet to a tee and prick my finger a thousand times a day. So, basically this particular doctor (excuse me...midwife, no doctor degree) needs to get over herself. UGH!! Anywho.......
Ayden informed me Monday morning that his foot hurt when he woke up....to the point he couldn't walk and took to crawling across the floor. I asked if it was asleep and had needles in it and he quickly told me he thought it was a growing pain. I told him I was sorry, but he was still going to have to walk to the car so we could go to work/school (as Mommy surely could not tote him). In protest he said he didn't think he could make it, so I explained that sometimes when things hurt (for instance, my belly that morning) we still have to keep moving. The response I got, "But Mommy, you only throwed up twice this morning and at least there is a reason for that....there is no reason my foot should hurt." Touche, my little one....touche! We both have growing pains in our own way. No fun, but each will result in something positive....a growing, big boy and a tiny precious baby!
With that being said, Ayden is holding a small protest ................. WHY, can't Raegan just be here now?!
Monday afternoon I was informed that CheezeIts are "halfsy" good for you. Ayden says, well they are cheese so that is good but they have salt and that is bad. All I want to know is where did this "halfsy" term come from? Weird!
I also found out Monday afternoon, that the girls in daycare took to arguing over who was going to marry Ayden when they got big. I am not sure if I am ready for wedding bells yet! Funny, nonetheless.......
Last Saturday Ayden participated in his first ever archery shoot and got third place. YAY, AYDEN!!!

Cabin Fever?
Ever notice how the birds disappear when it rains (and boy, have we had some rain)?
They’re so happy and flappy and chirpy when the sun is out…flying around, building their nests, waking us up at FIVE IN THE MORNING.
But when it rains they stay in their little homes and wait it out.
It shuts them right up.
I can’t help but wonder if on the rainy days the Mom birds are sitting with a nest of babies just thinking, “OMGoodness shut UP! Stop squirming and moving and chirping and just be QUIET ALREADY!”
Do they get cabin fever like we do sometimes?

Rainbow.....
And
when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there
would be no rainbow.Gilbert K. Chesterton
So true. So true. We all go through many tough times in
our lives and we have to remember that they all lead to something wonderful.
Just like a rainstorm leads us to a beautiful rainbow in our
backyards.

Baby Update.....
Raegan has been given a clean bill of health....boy, do I feel better. She waved and waved at us...nevermind she wouldn't be still, so it makes the ultrasound that much longer. All I could think is of her saying, "hey, mommy and daddy .... look at me ... I am fine and dandy and already ready for parades." Picture perfect YET.......
Have I mentioned she is camera shy? Well, all I can say is she is going to have to get over that quickly!! See in this 4D pic.....as soon as the ultrasound tech went to snap the picture she threw her hand up over her face. Silly girl!!
Anyhow, here is what is going on with her now.......
Turn on
the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by
now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long
and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able
to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are
developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's
increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside
world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the
roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them
outside the womb.
The whole process is amazing and definitely blessed!!
